Anzac* Day Dawn Service in Sydney’s Martin Place is an event to commemorate and honour the fallen soldiers. You may have heard of the phrase, “Lest we Forget”, which celebrates those soldiers who fell in the First World War. This Australian wide event lasts from 4:30am to 8:00am and generally carries out annually during mid to late April. Thousands of local people are expected to participate in this popular event as many feel the need to pay their respects to those who saved their country.
